I'm feeling much better about myself at the moment. We did a bit more blonde for the summer. Or maybe it's just the two glasses of wine that make me think I'm feeling better about myself.

Highlights are fun. I'll bet that your hair looks gorgeous.

Thank you. You're sweet. I did get a couple of compliments on it today, so maybe it's not just the wine making me think it looks better. :D

I used to get highlights and I always felt more sassy when I had them.

Blondy bits always lift my spirits, too. Although I have no particular highlight scheme at the moment, I do accidentally have a better haircut than usual, so that has much of the same result in the "feeling better about" department.

You're right. A good haircut can leave you feeling very good.
I got the works today...$140 total tab, but a great haircut was included.
I've been letting my bangs grow out and they are finally where I want them
to be.

I got highlights or streaks since 1976 when I came home and David said "They look great don't ever stop". I didn't until about 2 years ago when the streaks weren't doing it anymore (no dark hairs left). Sooooo I'm now totally blonde which has always suited me. I never did look good with my natural dark hair. I have my mother's red headed complexion and freckles. I have lots of friends who have just let their hair go grey but I just can't do that - I never want to know my true hair colour.

And what's wrong with that???????

I am lucky - I just get mt roots dyed every 5 weeks and somehow my hair continues to look highlighted. The sun takes care of that for me.

I also feel better about myself, younger and sexier wearing a thong.

No kidding - find a kind and size that works and you will never go back to granny panties.

Ha. No matter what the brand or size, all thongs feel like your underwear is riding up your crack. Bleh.

I own some thongs, but they are more for show than for go. I think bikini style can look plenty sexy.

You're right. I feel like I'm oozing with sex appeal when I'm wearing my thong. I just need to find one that'll hold in the 80 year old jewels, if you know what i mean....

Maybe I'll feel better if I paint my head gold and silver. Now, watercolor or enamel? Flat or glossy? Decisions, decisions ...

I am willing to consider that maybe thongs are like necklaces - or necks are like butts - I can not seem to find a necklace (other than small chains) that lay right on my neck.

You may be needing a cowcatcher.

It's that pointy deflector thingy at the front of locomotives.

Although I'm not sure how that's relevant to this particular conversation...

Maybe you should try wearing a thong around your neck?

That's prolly easier than wearing a necklace around your butt.

The cowcatcher thingie, as you see, can scoop stuff close to the ground. 80 year old family jewels, close to the ground.
I guess you had to be there...

Sounds like a better alternative than this wheelbarrow I've been using....

I just hope that train doesn't cross any fault lines....
