Flynn just resigned!

that is all
It took Richard Nixon five years to get where Trump's gotten in his first 30 days.eyégor wrote:Flynn was a dead man walking when he was offered the job. And beating up on his old buds, the spooks just made it worse. I think Bannon saw him as a liability.
Next up, D.C.'s version of Bagdad Bob, Ms. Conway. I wonder if Flynn felt like Eagleton yesterday afternoon.
So Putz Puzder won't be able to free the American economy from oppressive regulations like the minimum wage.silverscreenselect wrote:And another one bites the dust...
Andrew Puzder, withdraws his nomination as Secretary of Labor Exploitation one day before his Senate hearings were supposed to start.

Two down; many left to go.
Just a reminder-President Clinton had 2 proposed Attorney Generals go down (poor choice of words with Clinton) for the same reasons Puzder did. Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood-"Nannygate."silverscreenselect wrote:And another one bites the dust...

Instead of another selfish anti-Christian bastard to replace Puzder, I wonder if Pompous Pilate will nominate somebody who is pro-America for once. (Yes, I know that's a rhetorical question. The chances of this festering bucket of oozing anal fistulas picking somebody with simple human decency are about as likely as the chances of Confessor winning the Miss America pageant.)silverscreenselect wrote:And another one bites the dust...

Um, what?? So you're saying there's still a chance?Pastor Fireball wrote: Instead of another selfish anti-Christian bastard to replace Puzder, I wonder if Pompous Pilate will nominate somebody who is pro-America for once. Another win for the Trump Administration-Pruitt confirmed with 2 Democrat voting for-Manchin and Heitkamp.Bob78164 wrote:Susan Collins has come out against Scott Pruitt and John McCain has announced against Rick Mulvaney. --Bob
The fact that getting Cabinet nominees confirmed when your party has a majority in the Senate (which used to be pretty much a slam dunk for either party) is considered a "win" for the Trump Administration is an indication of just how bad things have gotten for them in less than one month.Spock wrote:Another win for the Trump Administration-Pruitt confirmed with 2 Democrat voting for-Manchin and Heitkamp.Bob78164 wrote:Susan Collins has come out against Scott Pruitt and John McCain has announced against Rick Mulvaney. --Bob
Has a transcript been released showing he discussed the sanctions? Serious question. I've not seen one.Bob78164 wrote:Flynn lied to the FBI by denying that he had discussed sanctions during his phone calls with the Russian ambassador. Lock him up! --Bob
Not that I know of. Just multiple sources cited by the Washington Post. I trust that the Post wouldn't have run the story unless its reporters either saw the transcript or got corroboration from sources who have been truthful in the past. And the apparent acceptance by Donny's Administration that Flynn's public denials that he had discussed sanctions were false.BackInTex wrote:Has a transcript been released showing he discussed the sanctions? So you're just repeating something you only hope is true. Not that the truth matters, right? Just the narrative?Bob78164 wrote:Not that I know of. Just multiple sources cited by the Washington Post. Unless charges are filed, I doubt we'll ever see a transcript. And with Jeff Sessions running the "Justice" Department, I'm highly skeptical that charges will be filed. --Bob
Jeesh! You guys complain that DeVoss had no experience with public education. Then he gets someone with actual experience in their field and you STILL complain? Just can't make you happy, can he?elwoodblues wrote:In other news Charles Manson is being considered for Secretary of Mental Health.
Not so long ago, one could tell from the contents which Bob had posted it. It's clearly true that Flynn had the conversations. Lying to Vice President Pence about that is what got him fired.BackInTex wrote:Bob78164 wrote:Flynn lied to the FBI by denying that he had discussed sanctions during his phone calls with the Russian ambassador. Are you serious, or are you just blind? After 8 years of accusing republicans of being obstructionists, the dems have made it an art form.silverscreenselect wrote:The fact that getting Cabinet nominees confirmed when your party has a majority in the Senate (which used to be pretty much a slam dunk for either party) is considered a "win" for the Trump Administration is an indication of just how bad things have gotten for them in less than one month.Spock wrote:Another win for the Trump Administration-Pruitt confirmed with 2 Democrat voting for-Manchin and Heitkamp.Bob78164 wrote:Susan Collins has come out against Scott Pruitt and John McCain has announced against Rick Mulvaney. --Bob
The Democrats have "obstructed" a total of one nominee.flockofseagulls104 wrote: the dems have made it an art form.
