I didn't know that the propensity to be a child predator was hereditary.

A 41-year-old son of Jerry Sandusky (of Penn State infamy) has been indicted with 14 counts, including "criminal solicitation and corruption of minors." Bond is set at $200,000.

I've heard that many victims of pedophiles grow up to be abusers themselves. I found this study in the
British Journal of Psychiatry that backs up this theory:
Cycle of child sexual abuse: links between being a victim and becoming a perpetrator
(They call it paedophilia over there.)
So Sandusky Jr.'s problem probably has less to do with genes than with abuse that he suffered. Too late to do anything about it now.

It may not be hereditary, but victims of child sexual abuse often become predators themselves when they get older, so connect the dots.

Isn't it unusual for a man to abuse any boy? Still, there are plenty of child abusers who abuse their own children, natural or not.
