I predict a pre-$25K walk for this guy, at best. If he's that cautious about an obvious $1K question, he won't gamble at all later in the stack.

He's a recent WE® - he came from Texas. Billy said that Charlie sold cars.
BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$300- Traditionally. the children's game "monkey in the middle" requires three or more people and a what?
A. Bicycle B. Ball
C. Jump rope D. Kite
This must be a regional thing, or else it's been renamed since I was a child. I've never heard the term, but it's not hard to figure out.

Should have had more confidence, Charlie. Not to mention that by talking it out you could have prejudiced the audience.

The capital of Maine is "M".
Nihil obstat®. I have a feeling that wasting the ATA on the $1K question will come back to haunt Charlie.

But given what he said, I was astonished that 9% of the New York audience chose different answers. Were there some that really were trying to durst him?

I don't know - I grew up in Oklahoma. We just called it "Keep Away".

Maybe. I've often wondered if there are people who attend a lot of tapings (rather like repeat visits to "Play It!") and may deliberately attempt to durst a contestant they don't like or who doesn't play the game well.

Are you saying that marley goes to a lot of tapings?

Hey!
There have been times when we've been prompted to clap and cheer for a contestant's inanities and I've had to fight down the urge to curse, instead, but I have never neglected my sacred duty to vote honestly in the ATA.
At worst, there may have been a time or two when I voted on a hunch, instead of abstaining on a question when I did not really know the answer.
