The word "pint" originates from the volume of a pound of water at sea level at room temperature.

Well, if I'd known that I of course could have done it; 2 pints/qt, 4,qts/gal gives 8 x 5 gal = 40.

"A pint's a pound, the world around".

Not really accurate since there are various pints and it isn't exactly right for water but it is a good mnemonic and a good way to estimate the weight of watery substances.

10K: Not only do I know Calgary is in Alberta, but I also know about the Albertosaurus.

20K: I remember hearing Bradley Cooper being named Sexiest Man Alive in maybe 2011 (correct me if I'm wrong), so I'd go with A.

30K: Rigged 50/50 will leave B and C, and I don't know exactly what math I'd have to do here, so I'd walk with 20K.

Somewhere I read the phrase "a pint's a pound the world around", so since there are 8 pints in a gallon, I'd have picked C as closest to 40.
