All I need is an extension cord

#1 Post by Lizbit » Tue Feb 07, 2017 1:29 am

So I was on the innernet, looking for information about chickens. The more I know, the better I can guard my girls next door.

What I found on the youtubes astonished me. There's a chicken out there who can play music on a keyboard! This particular chicken looks a lot like Cora, the youngster who came in to replace my frien Lucille, the hen who became a him. Anyway, the musical chick played America the Beautiful on one video and Heart and Soul on another one. This gave me a great idea.

I could teach Mable, Cora and the Freidas to play instruments and sing. Seriously, this could be bigger than the Beatles and Beyoncé combined.

I already have -- well, my mom already has -- a keyboard that I could take outside and put right next to the fence, and then I can give them music lessons. All I need is a long extension cord to hook up the electric part. I will encourage them to make up their own songs as well as learn a few pop standards like "Who Let the Dogs Out" and "The Safety Dance." I already know the girls can sing, as their bubbly laughing talk sounds a lot like people who try to sing along with the radio but don't know the words: "Lalalala and mmm-bop you, haha."

If this works out, I also can envision the girls making up their own sorority songs for Chi Kappa Nu (ChiKN) and maybe some cowboy campfire songs for Rodeo Camp, if we can still have that without BeBe, who had volunteered to be our designated horse.

When the girls get really good, I will tape a performance and put that on the youtubes, too. Then we'll get about three million followers, which will help get them a professional recording contract. (I see no reason why I shouldn't be their manager as well as their guard dog.) The potential of all this is mind-blowing. All I need for now is the extension cord.

Lizbit, do you have access to your Mom's Amazon account? I am sure you can find what you need there.

Just make sure that you get an outdoor one. You don't want any water shorting out everything.

Dear Miss Lizbit, I hope you realize your dream with the extension cord. I'm sure that you'll at least get ChiKN started at rodeo camp. Good luck!
