Following the squabble involving Oklahoma running back and all around thug Joe Mixon, veteran broadcaster Brent Musburger announced his retirement following the Georgia-Kentucky basketball game January 31. Musburger, 77, got started at CBS in 1973 and went to ABC in 1990. He worked for ABC and ESPN until his retirement.

I won't believe it until I have went a year without hearing his voice.
He has to be in my top 3 most disliked sports announcers.

I get him and Kevin Nealon mixed up.
But I like Kevin Nealon.

years ago, I sort of like Brent but the last few years have found me not wanting to hear his voice, especially on SEC football games. Still, he had a great career but I was not that impressed with his last 5-6 years.

Nobody could be worse than Chris Berman who is also going off the air to do something upstairs at ESPN.lilclyde54 wrote:years ago, I sort of like Brent but the last few years have found me not wanting to hear his voice, especially on SEC football games. I still can't believed that worthless POS forged a 30+ year career adding nothing of value by way of sports commentary.
