WWTBAM Bored

I'm looking at a screen that looks like an extremely complicated Word document with lots of tables and text boxes, except the underlines do take me to another screen. I can't find a button or an underline that will get me to wherever I need to go to change from subsilver or whatever isn't working anymore. I can't find a logout button, and I was still logged in from yesterday.

Any help appreciated -- TIA.

Try switching your interface to fisubsilver2 through the User Control Panel>>Bored Preferences link. I just noticed BiT's comment and it's working for me...

I just changed to Subsilver2 to see if I could find the link. My page displayed normally. The stuff on your page may be gobbledygook, but it should still be in order. From the top, your page should have:

Title:
WWTBAM Bored
A home for the weary.

Links:
* Logout [ Estonut ]
* 0 new messages
* Chat
* FAQ
* Search
* Members
* User Control Panel

The sixth link (underline) on your page should be "User Control Panel," where you can go to board preferences and change "My board style" to something else. Getaway Blue is still working for me.

And AeroBlue continues to work for me. (But I miss AeroRed.) --Bob

Even after having changed to the alternate subsilver, I don't get my menus back until I logged in; didn't used to have to.

That's because regular subsilver (the defective one) is the default setting. You don't get the interface of your choice until you're logged in...

This morning I didn't need to log in to get those menus. Cured itself! Maybe it had a cold. (Well, something fixed it. But I'm not going back to less-bright-blue silver just yet, just in case.)

OK, so now I read it was not tnhe board's immune system, it was...tubadave! Who *is* the board's immune system. So I now can switch back to subsilver2?

It seems like I got everything back. Thanks to TD and LB and everyone who helped.

Up until this incident, I honestly didn't know there were various styles I could use. Instead, I've just been using whatever I got when the Bored started years ago.

I thought everybody saw things the same way I did. But, now that I think about the people on this Bored, I know how ridiculous that is.
