Host for Big J?

James' restaurant is closing in a month and he is being laid off.
He is pretty down, and wants to get a trip in before he looks for more work. He wants a warm climate, and somewhere that he can fish and learn to shoot and maybe hunt. (doesn't get that from me

)
Anyone interested in hosting a bright polite, helpful 22 year old for a couple of weeks?

It was in the single digits here overnight.
The lakes are frozen and I have never shot a real gun (toy pistols don't count I assume) and have never hunted.
Don't think we qualify
But if he ever needs a tutorial on the history of rock 'n roll....
Seriusly, I hope he nabs a little getaway. I can certainly relate to the "wants a warm climate" thing. And it's only early January

I think he is now looking at possibly taking a cross Canada train excursion. We did talk about his first big solo trip being easier to do in our own country, before he tackles borders and foreign laws. I think the getting away is the most important point.

As gorgeous as trans-Canada may be in winter, its going to be co-o-o-o-ld. I think he's in the warmest part right where you are right now.
Can't he jet down to some nice warm fellow-Commonwealth islands in the Caribbean without incurring any border problems with the Evil Americans (who are really not trying to keep out Canadian tourists, whoever we elected).
