Ask The Audience - Which Country Was 100% WRONG in 2016?

It finally happened.

And worse still, it happened in 2016. 2016 just can't catch a break.

When I noticed that the recent episode that saw 99% of a US audience getting an ATA question wrong is being rerun next week (Tuesday, I think), I did some Google-searching to see if that was the record, and ... it's not. Last March, a studio audience in Nigeria set the ultimate record of futility for Ask The Audience worldwide - they were 100% wrong. And on the final question, no less, with 10 million Naira up for grabs.

Now that would probably have been a second (maybe even first) tier question in the US.

Discuss.

That's a lot of Naira but only about $32,000.

Memo to self....do not trust Nigerians with U.S. baseball trivia.

Other than being the 100th anniversary, was there any significance to the 2003 World Series? Or did the writers just pull a year out of thin air?

PS: I know I've seen at least one clip from Russia where 0% came in correct. In fact, 100% of the votes were eliminated by the 50:50.

The Naira is an excellent currency to speculate on. Please email me your checking account and routing number, and the Bank of Nigeria will be happy to wire you 10 million genuine Naira as a show of good faith from our people!

That is a horrible trivia question even if it were here in the US.

What percentage of Americans could answer that question correctly (even without the choices)? I'll bet it's a lot more than could answer most of the dreck I see in the transcripts today...

Now that the link actually works (it didn't earlier), I have to laugh that the guy's name was actually Chukwuma...

In Russia, the audience purposely picks wrong answers, so they deserve an asterisk.

Fair cop, but even then, 0% is a tall order.

If he still had his "Phone-A-Friend" lifeline left, he could have called Steve Bartman.
