My Next Career Move

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sat Dec 31, 2016 8:57 am

It's not that I don't like where I am now, but I really think that I (and perhaps some of the other un/underemployed members of the Bored) should consider joining the UFC. All you have to do is stand there and let someone beat the crap out of you for a minute and you make $3 million. Lots of us got hurt far less in our younger days for lots less. And $3 million can pay a lot of doctor/hospital bills and leave plenty left over, even for those without medical insurance.

I'll have to give this some serious consideration.

I was planning on becoming a college football coach. I wouldn't be very good at it but the multi-million dollar buyout of my contract when I eventually got fired would last quite a while.

It's the way the free market works, and on the whole, I prefer it even with its occasional silly excesses.

Except nobody's gonna pay you $3 million to get the crap beat out of you.

You might find some sadistic freak to pay you a couple hundred though.

Even less than a minute if your opponent is Ronda Rousey or Amanda Nunes (that one was finished in 48 seconds last night, worth every penny of your pay-per-view bill ?? ).
