Dipping my toes in the Facebook waters.

I joined last Thursday. Since that time I have found two HS classmates that I haven't seen or spoken to in hamena hamena years. Two actors I worked with years ago and lost contact with and several folks I am in touch with but not "actively" communicating with.

It's not intrusive so far. It's fascinating who is on there and who is not and I am looking forward to getting to know these folks again.

It's especially nice for me right now since we have moved to Ohio and I am feeling more than a little disconnected socially. Don't know a freakin' soul here that we want to hang out with.....

Beloved Son made the error of inviting me to be his friend on his Facebook page. If one is good at reading tea leaves, one can find all sorts of stuff about what a college kid is up to.

Bottles in the background of pictures, for instance.

I don't have anything to add. I just want to change my avatar.

Daughter1111 won't let me join.

Hmmmm

Actually, I haven't gone on and made an acct. either. I just asked her if I did, would she let me be her friend.

I don't think I want to go and intrude at this point.

I have MySpace and Facebook. I enjoy tinkering with my MySpace page more than my Facebook page, so I prefer MySpace. I also like the bands on MySpace who want to be my friends, because I get exposed to a lot of new music. My brother-in-law also made me his vassal on Facebook, so that's part of the reason why I don't enjoy it as much.

Did you get that straightened out? Did heads roll? Are you back to your usual phlegmatic self?

It's a game called Knighthood. The point, as near as I can tell, is to make as many as people as possible your vassal, so that you increase your rank. Then you build stuff to protect your vassals.

Do the vassals have a choice in the matter?

This doesn't sound as good as having minions.

Vassals can be stolen by others of a higher rank.
