Over 50 years later, opinions vary today on the "quality" of this album, with many feeling that it sounds dated today, but it's hard to argue with the statement that this was the album that reset the game forever. For me, it is best enjoyed as a whole...
7. SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND-THE BEATLES (1967)
Simply put, when The Beatles released this album, they changed the playing field. Again. From this point on, albums, not singles, would become the
primary currency of rock and pop. Not a perfect album, but the most important one. Listening to only a song or two just doesn't
cut it...it was meant to be listened to in its entirety...appropriately, there were no singles issued from "Pepper". As many times
as I've heard it, it never gets old for me...there are so many layers to each track to hear. You Tube choices are pretty crappy-click
this audio link instead. Hit the arrow next to the first song and it should play in sequence.

I bet I could still sing along accurately with about 80% of it. Not that I sing all that well, I hasten to add . . .

What would you think if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.
