8. BORN TO RUN-BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN (1975)

An album that is more like a movie. The characters Springsteen sings about come alive in vivid color before our ears. "Thunder Road".
"Jungleland", "Backstreets", "Born To Run"....these are anthems, folks. See the darkened streets where the singer is going to attempt
his big score, a mission we all know is going to backfire on him. Feel the freedom of hitting the streets and falling in love after a
typically lousy day in "Night", or the thrill of the chase in "She's The One". Or just get up and dance to the autobiographical
"Tenth Avenue Freeze Out". It's all good.

Nothing he has done has met this standard. It must suck to peak so early.

I've heard nearly every song on this album without ever hearing the album, itself, thanks to radio play, commercials and the like. I'm not much of a Bruuuuuce fan, but I can see (and hear) the appeal.

I used to have this album. Only eight songs, but they are all good. The title song and Tenth Avenue Freeze Out were the only hit singles, but Jungleland is a great song that probably didn't become a single because it is nine and a half minutes long.

Agree with Mr. T and Elwood -- it's all good.
