11. DARK SIDE OF THE MOON-PINK FLOYD (1973)

Already I can imagine some of you gathering up the pitchforks and torches and coming after me, as this would be the #1 album for
many people. Obviously its ranking here demonstrates my high regard for this landmark recording, but the 10 albums above it
just get played more often and I enjoy them just that little bit more. Maybe it has something to do with the likelihood of turning
on any classic rock station in the country and hearing at least two songs from this album before day's end...

We begin the Top Ten on Monday!

Having some numbering problems recently. Should this be 11?

My bad.

Again.

In a hurry the last few days, so I am a mistake machine.

I have one of those "half-speed master recording" CDs of this album, so it sounds especially good. I only allow myself to hear songs from this album in this manner and I've been known to turn the station if I hear something from it on the radio. Inferior quality not allowed.

If it ain't glistening, I ain't listening.

DSoM is a wonderful choice regardless of its slot on the list.

One time I had a job in Brazil, and this guy at the plant, Evandro, asked me to do him a favor. He wanted me to listen to this album and write down the lyrics so he could understand what they were saying. I told him that even if I did, it would make as much sense to him as Portuguese did to me.
