RIP Jim Delligatti

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Nov 30, 2016 11:26 am

You may not know the name, but I'm almost positive you're familiar with his most famous creation. Delligatti was a Pittsburgh McDonald's franchisee who created the Big Mac about 50 years ago, and it's been clogging arteries ever since. It was McDonald's first successful attempt at a bigger burger and went national in 1968.

Age 98 (I guess he owed his longevity to eating lots of his products)

In my entire 36 years on this planet, I have not once eaten any beef product at McDonald's--not even a Big Mac. I've eaten a lot of chicken and breakfast items there, but not a single burger. I don't know why, but it just worked out that way.

What does one have to do with the other?
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

A Big Mac has beef in it. It's a hamburger.

I think he was making a joke about McDonald's hamburgers not actually having beef in them.
