38. SOMETHING IN THE WAY SHE MOVES-JAMES TAYLOR (1968)
Album: James Taylor

Just JT and his guitar, spinning one of his loveliest melodies, from his first album, released on the Beatles' Apple label.
James Taylor wasn't all that concerned when George Harrison used the title of this song for the opening line of "Something", as
he stated that he nicked the Beatles' "I Feel Fine" for the closing line of THIS song. Personally I think George was a lot more
blatant in his thievery, but if JT is OK with it, who am I to quibble...and we did get two great songs out of the deal, so it's
all good.

37. BABY BLUE-BADFINGER (1972)
Album: Straight Up

The last of their 4 perfect singles released during their all too short chart run. The bittersweet melody is great, for sure, but what really
makes this song is the outstanding guitar lines throughout. But, as is the case with all 4 of their hits, every note, instrumentation
and vocals, is perfectly placed. Speaking of perfectly placed, the song regained some popularity not that long ago with its use in the final
scene of the tv show "Breaking Bad"...an inspired choice. Nice that the song gained new fans...heartbreaking that most of the band wasn't
still on this earth to experience the love. Badfinger's story is one of the saddest in the history of rock and roll.

Had to use THIS video out of several available, 'cuz both guitarists are playing the same model of guitar that I've had since I was 12 years old (the
one the video opens on).

I am having issues with trying to get the YouTube video to play in the above window here (although it's working fine on Facebook). In case you have a similar problem, here's a direct link to the video on YouTube:
