The airport just reopened, and the shooter is either in police custody or in the hospital. (I heard just a snippet on the local television news, so I am not sure about the details.) Police are at his home awaiting the arrival of a search warrant. There's no indication at this point that the crime involved terrorism.ghostjmf wrote:at Will Rogers airport, Oklahoma City
The man who died, Mike Winchester, had been the starting punter for the 1985 national championship Sooners, and his son also played at OU and currently is with the Kansas City Chiefs.
I am breathing a sigh of relief because my youngest son, a.k.a. Captain Adventure, is visiting and is scheduled to fly back to Boise tomorrow morning. I suspect that traffic will be a mess, and security will be stringent.
