What interests me is the unstated cultural reference. The object being washed is a security blanket of a young child, and the music is Vince Guaraldi piano music from IIRC the first Charlie Brown special. Maybe they just didnt want to spend the money to the Schultz estate to make the reference expliict, but I suspect they were adding it as an "Easter Egg" special feature for those who think too much about cultural trivia....
Am I overinterpreting?
