Goofy coincidence

Hopefully this will give you a chuckle whatever your position on the election was.

As many of you may recall, our household endured two floods within the last ten years. Among the casualties were almost all of my record and comic book collections. Now, I hadn't looked at those comics in a number of years, but as is often the case, once I didn't have it anymore, I began missing it. So, with the considerable help of my brother, I began rebuilding the collection. Of course, most of the truly valuable ones were irreplaceable, but we've done very well overall. Anyway, I've been immersed in nostalgia, reading them a couple per day and loving it. I mean, as a kid, my obsessions were music, comic books, and baseball, and I never grew up.

Getting to the point (at last), I opened up issue #203 of Daredevil (February 1984) this morning, and with my coffee in front of me, began diving into the exploits of the Man Without Fear. Guess what the name of the villain was?

I kid you not.

THE TRUMP. "a professional criminal and magician who uses illusions and parlor tricks to commit his crimes" (per Wikipedia).

I don't recall ever hearing about this guy, so I looked him up. His only other appearances were in a couple of brief spots in two Captain America issues, which is why I don't remember him I guess.


The timing on opening up this particular issue is hilarious. You can't make this stuff up.
