The good news is Trump IS accepting the results. I know a lot of folks seemed to be concerned about that. I did hear that collective "whew!" earlier this morning from them.
I wonder how many of the current protesters were upset with Trump when he questioned whether or not he'd accept the election results. What a bunch of hypocrites!BackInTex wrote:The good news is Trump IS accepting the results. I know a lot of folks seemed to be concerned about that. Of course, if I was very devious and had an army of talented cyberhackers at my disposal like, say, Vladimir Putin, and I had a willing stooge as a candidate for President, what I might do was have that stooge keep claiming that the elections were rigged just so that the other party and all the various federal and state election officials would assure people that the elections were not rigged. Then, I'd turn my hackers loose to manipulate votes in a couple of key states so that they plausibly mirrored a possible scenario for my stooge to win, knowing that no one would ever be able to challenge me.jaybee wrote:But...but...but...The election was rigged!
Amazing how that happened to just go away - almost like it was never there in the first place.

To be fair Trump's words were "If I don't win, the election is rigged".jaybee wrote:But...but...but...The election was rigged!

It has been proven that HRC's team rigged the primaries. Is it really that far-fetched to believe she might rig the big one, too? Do you really think HRC would play fair during the biggest fight of her life?Jeemie wrote:To be fair Trump's words were "If I don't win, the election is rigged".jaybee wrote:But...but...but...The election was rigged!

I'm trying to remember if he said it in general as well as the specific example I remember- my own state of Pennsylvania.
Doesn't matter- either way, he won the electoral vote...he won Pennsylvania.
Ergo- the election wasn't (successfully) rigged!
Be careful, your tinfoil hat is slipping. I have never quite gotten the attempts of the Democrats to tie Putin to Trump. After all the 3 most visible responses of the Obama administration to Russia is:silverscreenselect wrote:Of course, if I was very devious and had an army of talented cyberhackers at my disposal like, say, Vladimir Putin, and I had a willing stooge as a candidate for President, what I might do was have that stooge keep claiming that the elections were rigged just so that the other party and all the various federal and state election officials would assure people that the elections were not rigged. It's interesting how Republican values changed so much in four years from the unbroken line from World War II to Mitt Romney about how evil Russia/Soviet Union was to what a great guy Vladimir Putin is. And what a great guy he turned out to be when his hackers got into Democratic party records and Wikileaked them day after day.Spock wrote:

You keep making stuff up to support your flawed thinking. Pray tell what did I make up? Did I miss the half century or so of speechifying I heard from Republicans about the Red Menace?BackInTex wrote:You keep making stuff up to support your flawed thinking.
