mikehardware's California Adventure

#1 Post by mikehardware » Sun Apr 20, 2008 3:33 pm

I got back late Friday after a great week in southern California, and am just about caught up on all the stuff at home.

From Santa Barbara to the Lompoc area, California is incredibly beautiful. The view from the rush hour traffic in LA was not so great, except I did get to see the Hollywood sign and the Capitol Records building. (Traffic in Huntsville means that you have to wait an extra cycle on the traffic signal.)

Meeting Uly was definitely the highlight of the week. Thanks for the introduction to NTN! (Uly is quite good at it. With his help and a lucky break on a couple of guesses, I stayed relatively close.) He got to break the news of the auditions to me, so I'm going on the annual quest sometime in May. I'll have to finalize a date with the boss.

I'll probably get to go back out there a few times each year, so maybe I'll get to meet some more of y'all. The new job looks to be wildly interesting.

I already mentioned mikehardware's visit. He is being modest about his NTN abilities. He knows stuff. Now if he can only convince the ap's that besides knowing stuff, he knows how to be a good hotseater. Good luck!
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.
