78. THE WAY YOU DO THE THINGS YOU DO-THE TEMPTATIONS (1964)
Album: Meet The Temptations

Their first hit came out of the radio full force, courtesy of that legendary Motown studio band. And Eddie Kendricks'
silky smooth falsetto leads the way in a song that just can't help but get your head noddin' along and your toes tappin'.
And maybe even singing along with the "woo, woo"'s, too!

77. MY MARIA-B.W. STEVENSON (1973)
Album: My Maria

A cheerful musical ray of sunshine so good natured I find it irresistable. In looking up the particulars of the song, I saw
that jazz guitarist Larry Carlton played on it. I had no idea.

Larry Carlton is probably best known for his collaboration with Mike Post on the theme for Hill Street Blues. It's probably not on the Boney 500, but it's my all-time favorite TV theme.

The Temptations movie comes around every so often, and I love to watch the actors in action; I understand it's as authentic as they could get. I wish they'd used original recordings for the vocals.
