As many of you know, I'm about as cheap as it gets, so I'm always looking for good deals, and this one is very good for those who enjoy digital reading. It's a sight called Humble Bundle that regularly offers packages of books for charity. Each package has about15-20 books in it, based on a common theme. You pay a nominal amount, which goes to charity (they have several charities for most of their promotions and you select what percentage of your purchase goes to each one). Typically, the books are grouped into three tiers. For a donation of $1, you get 4-5 books; for a larger donation ($5-10), you get another 4-5, and for about $15, you get the entire bundle. The books are available in PDF or EPUB form which can be converted into formats for most readers. The books are not self-published but rather come from name publishers and authors. Some are a bit old, but they are good if you like the particular genre. They usually offer one or two book bundle deals a month (they also have offers on video games), and you can sign up to be on their mailing list (you only get about one e-mail a week from them).

The current bundle is about popular books on the economy (not my favorite reading), and it features a number of titles you've probably heard of, including Affluenza. Even if this doesn't appeal to you, you might want to check the site out and get on their mailing list. Here's the link to their current offering:
