Zeke Spector
Evanston, IL

Used ATA previously

Was a huge fan of show since he was 10; at the time WWTBAM was at the peak of its prime-time popularity.
Wrote a comedy sketch about someone getting an easy $1M question wrong.

$20K :
Born Amethyst Amelia Kelly, what recording artist's stage name’s a mash-up of her dog's name and the street she grew up on?
A: Taylor Swift B: Iggy Azalea
C: Foxy Brown D: Katy Perry
50/50
50/50 left B and C
Decided on B because Iggy is an interesting dog name and Iggy Azalea is Australian
Spoiler
B: Iggy Azalea
$30K :
Which one of these things is NOT true of the Presidential election of 2008, but is true for the elections of 2000, 2004 and 2012?
A: The taller of the two candidates won B: The shorter of the two candidates won
C: The older of the two candidates won D: The younger of the two candidates won
+1
+1: friend Lyle comes up after Zeke rules out C and D
Zeke asks Lyle if Romney is taller (in 2012), ruling out A if that is the case
Spoiler
B: The shorter of the two candidates won
First break

$50K :
Since in 1992 it was ruled that anyone in the state could go sans shirt, women participating in which city's Go Topless Day aren't breaking the law?
A: Chicago B: Los Angeles
C: Minneapolis D: New York City
Spoiler
Zeke says he lives in NY (now) and is leaning that way
After reminded of the risks, Zeke went for it

D: New York City

Nothing can take $50K from him "except the IRS"

$100K :
In photographs, Harriet Tubman was often seen wearing a silk shawl given to her by what historical figure?
A: Ulysses S. Grant B: Joseph Pulitzer
C: Queen Victoria D: Susan B. Anthony
Spoiler
Zeke said he has no clue, and was leaning between C and D. He guessed D based on his gut.
C: Queen Victoria

Zeke left with $50K

Second break

I should look up what I have left, if its posted, but whatever:

20K: knew 'cause I'd read or heard it

30K: A nauseating work-it-out

50K: Never heard of this. Rule out Chicago & Minneapolis based of "Midwestern modesty", though that may be a mistake. But believe 50/50 will leave NY & LA. +1

100K: ATA just because I supposedly still have it, but guess Queen Vic "just because". Its a free guess.

Dang! She was here! OK, a Chautauqua version of Ms. Tubman was here. She wore a shawl, but I don't remember a mention of who it was who gave it to her. Let's try 50/50.

OK, Plus One.

I seem to recall reading a story that said that the taller candidate has won every presidential election for many years.

According to Wikipedia, the taller candidate won in 1980, 1984, 1988 & 1996, and Clinton and Bush were tied in 1992. So you must have read that article sometime in the previous century.
