copy of the record was extremely worn out, an aural Rice Krispies with all of the Snaps, Krackles, and Pops.

If you don't know the true meaning of the term "get your wings" (according to Joe Perry), I suggest you do NOT look it up. It has nothing to do with angels.
Meanwhile, this album is still great after all these years.
