A real obscure one today kids..

54. POWERBILL-THE SEMANTICS (1996, Japan only)

This involves a crime. The crime is that a record this good is so unknown. That Geffen Records signed this group and then
never released the album. The crime is that the only place this album was EVER released was in Japan. I still don't understand
why, because to my ears this is near perfect pop. EVERY TRACK is chock full of well-crafted ear candy. The players on this
are Millard Powers and Will Owsley, who were introduced to each other by Ben Folds, who had sometimes played piano with them,
and on drums, Zak Starkey. Yes, son of Ringo Starr. Back when I bought this I could only find this on eBay (it is long out of
print) but I see now that Amazon has a number of used copies at a pretty reasonable price. Oh well..it was still worth every penny
I paid for my copy..the second track here is probably the weakest, but even that is pretty good.

I'm pretty sure Millard Powers is the most famous Millard since Millard Fillmore.

Intriguing single. Must decide if it's worth getting a copy from Amazon.

WWMFD (what would Millard Fillmore do?)
