Two more songs to round out the week:
122. SEND DOWN AN ANGEL-ALLISON MOORER (2000)
Album: The Hardest Part
I guess you'd call this Alternative Country. I'll call it excellent. Yeah, there's some twang in there, but there's also a part in the
arrangement that brings to mind "Strawberry Fields Forever". Moorer's vocal is world
weary and reflective of someone just wanting something good from her life for a change. When she sings this, she
captures my heart.
121. SO MUCH IN LOVE-THE TYMES (1963)
Album: So Much In Love
Soft, lovely doo-wop that probably inspired some steamy car windows back in the day. I wouldn't have first hand knowledge
of that...I was only 6.
