In continuing with today's mellow mood (no, it wasn't planned that way, just the way it turned out)..

130. SOMETHING SO RIGHT-PAUL SIMON (1973)
Album: There Goes Rhymin' Simon

Sung with a cool understatement and a shaking of his head, this gentle tune about a guy that can't believe his luck
has finally turned has always charmed me.

129. CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE-ELVIS PRESLEY (1961)
Album: Blue Hawaii

My mom loved this song. In fact, whenever I hear it, I can also hear her singing with it. So this simple, sweet song is one
of the things that keeps her memory alive. Thanks for that, Elvis.

There's a recording of a live show in which Elvis was singing this song and forgot the words, changing them to "do you gaze at your picture and wish you had hair" followed by him cracking up. I heard it on the radio a while back but I don't think there's anything on the interwebs.

I think you may be thinking of "Are You Lonesome Tonight?"...There was a live recording of him singing that and goofing around with the words, which were very similar to the ones you quoted here.

The King, of course.

And another wonderful song I never would have heard except for the Boneys.
