30 years separate today's two song entries
148. EVERYTHING THAT TOUCHES YOU-THE ASSOCIATION (1968)
Album: Birthday
They put out some great singles, but this is my favorite. The interwoven voices are quite majestic
and serve the gentle melody very nicely. It was a Top 10 hit but gets overlooked in favor of some
of their other tunes.
147. LINE IN THE DUST-BRUCE HORNSBY (1998)
Album: Spirit Trail
The unusual sounding keyboard playing that offbeat riff is the major hook here, but don't overlook
Hornsby's vocal here, the playful pattern of which makes for an outstanding performance. Every time
I listen to this one it's in my head for at least the rest of the day.
