Today on the Boney 500 song list, we move into the Top 150:

150. DREAMLAND-BRUCE HORNSBY (2004)
Album: Halcyon Days

A lovely duet with Elton John, it's a lullabye sung by a father who expresses his regrets that
he can't protect his child from the dangers or disappointments of the world, hoping the child
will find peace and comfort in dreams. The lyrics are beautiful and speak for all of us with
children or grandchildren in this frightening modern world. The music matches the feeling of
"slipping away into Dreamland".

149. GREEN RIVER-CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL (1969)
Album: Green River

The guitar that opens this song and carries it through the duration is lowdown and kickass and
this swamp boogie rocker follows suit. I still don't know three-quarters of what John Fogerty's
singing here but I don't give a rat's derriere, I love this song.

Yeah, come on home to Green River -- every bar band in the county played that song.

Not that I would know from personal experience . . .

Except us..don't know why, as it wasn't out of my range and would've been a decent fit in our sound...sometimes you're concentrating so hard on finding "current" popular tunes to cover that you overlook some songs that are better fits.
