Michael McDonald haters may want to look the other way today
78. MINUTE BY MINUTE-THE DOOBIE BROTHERS (1978)
Unabashedly pop with only a couple of nods to the band's earlier road rockin' days, but it's pop of a pretty high caliber,
thoughtfully crafted. The title track and "Here To Love You" are smooth-grooved goodies, and one of those throwback Doobie
rockers, "Don't Stop To Watch The Wheels", is a great hit the highway tune. Side 2 drags in spots, but Side 1 I like a whole lot.
