French fencer's phone falls out of his pocket during an Olympic match:

I bet Boris Onishchenko wishes he had that technology back in 1976. As they say, there's an app for that.

Didja see the footage of the diver, as in "in full oxygen-tank diving suit" looking for the swim-racer's pearl earing? They found it, in her lane.
She will probably continue to wear them to swim, as she wears them for luck, I believe.

This is not about the earrings but it's a VERY good piece on their wearer, Kathleen Baker (who trains in Charlotte):

Great story.
A friend of mine has Crohn's, & I never knew it. They're someone who posts stuff on facebook about the dinners they've cooked, the dinners they've eaten out, complete w/ photos. I would never have dreamed that often they couldn't eat, but all that concentration on food is probably a form of therapy for them.
Then recently they posted that Drs were sending them to get IV fluids for dehydration, & that their kidneys tested out as in danger of failing; turns out these are "potential side effects" of their latest medicine for Crohn's, but no-one put it together until it started happening.
They're better now.
