TCONA

#1 Post by bazodee » Mon Aug 08, 2016 9:09 am

Who is going to attend the Trivia Championships of North America (TCONA) next weekend at the Tropicana in Las Vegas? (It would be helpful if you converted your Bored name to your badge name!)

I'll be there... (wayne forester)

Good Grief T-Wayne, let the Deltoids know you're getting the chance of a lifetime here & can't miss it. Don't tell them the show is a little later down the week.

In my experience, airlines don't bump people whose flights are leaving on time for people already delayed. They just let the already-mad people get madder.

If your flight is scheduled after the glitch is fixed, this may work in your favor.

Yeah, planes are moving, I'm confirmed and checked in through the app, my travel agent explained I can't be bumped.

I was worried when I woke up and saw this going on, but no worries now.

When I get to my small local airport tomorrow, I'll head to the counter and ask about my Atlanta to Vegas leg, and maybe casually mention I have 1,000,000 reasons to get there on time.

This is exactly why I put a buffer on my plans.

If you have assigned seats you can't be bumped but they can always cancel the flight.

True, but my flight time is 28 hours after flights resumed, so really very little chance of cancellation.

It's still listed as on time

Ed Toutant told me he will be at TCONA. I think he was being serious.

How do we know that you really know him?
