I watched the first half of There Will Be Blood last night. I turned it off when it got to be midnight. I have liked it so far, but I have no clue where this story is headed.

I'll watch the second half tonight

Make yourself a milkshake before you watch the second half.

We watched it the other night. I think it sucked.

Are you sure it wasn't the Marilyn Monroe tape?

I just saw There Will Be Blood, and I thought it was really good, if not perfect. Well-acted all around; Daniel Day-Lewis was a force of nature and richly deserved his Oscar. The other thing that really struck me was the awe-inspiring score by Jonny Greenwood (of Radiohead fame -- surely this will be a trivia question!), which I can't get out of my head now. (I didn't like the use of the Brahms violin concerto at the end of the movie, though -- it seemed pointlessly upbeat given what had just happened.) It sorta reminded me of Citizen Kane a bit, in that it was a larger-than-life portrait of the rich and soulless. This one will stay with me for a while.
