The topic of this article is the large number of big, Las Vegas shows that have been closing recently.

The Jubilee Theatre at adjacent Bally’s is marking time with “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” tapings in lieu of a replacement for the theater’s namesake “Jubilee!”
"Marking time". That (reasonably) implies that Bally's and the other big casinos would prefer to have the type of shows that customers pay good money for tickets, rather than "free" TV show tapings. Next season--if there's a next season--this theater may no longer be available and TPTB will have to move our show, again.

Be nice if they'd move to a place we easterners could more easily commute to.
They'll probably find a vacant lodge in Alaska or Antarctica.

Plenty of studio space in Vegas if Ballys finds a year round show. Not to mention other hotels that may have an empty space as well.

Probably Bally's gave them the space for nothing or very little cost in order to get audience members to visit the casino after the show.

They have been on the East Coast for the past 17 years. It seems reasonable to give other places a chance.

For me, the move to LV is great. The Baboo and I get out there semi-regularly but our only trip to NYC was when she filmed her episode.

The LV Convention and Visitors Bureau may even be kicking in some bucks.

Who says you have to have the show tape in some way over hyped, way over priced joint on the strip? There's some great properties in Vegas that are way off the strip that are just as nice, or nicer than Bally's. Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock, M, South Point, Golden Nugget and the LVH (the old Las Vegas Hilton) are just some that come to mind.I'm sure if Bally's drops the show, five or six other properties would be willing to step up and get some cheap exposure.
