He nailed the Donald with the type of line that's going to stick:
What makes us American, what makes us patriots, is what’s in here. That’s what matters. ...That’s why anyone who threatens our values, whether fascists or communists or jihadists or homegrown demagogues, will always fail in the end.

LOL. He nailed Bernie Sanders. Did you not see his speech? Or the Mothers of the Movement?

I'm no fan of Michael Bloomberg, but he had the best lines of last night:

“I built a business, and I didn’t start it with a million-dollar check from my father.”

"I'm a New Yorker, and I know a con when I see one."

"Throughout his career, Trump has left behind a well-documented record of bankruptcies, thousands of lawsuits, angry shareholders and contractors who feel cheated, and disillusioned customers who feel ripped off. Trump says he wants to run the nation like he's run his business—God help us."

THAT I cannot argue with.

For someone who claims that the system is "rigged," Trump has spent his entire business career taking advantage of that system to screw over all the "little" people that he's dealt with. His concern for them begins and ends when they pay him money or do work for him. How any of these same types of people think that he will do anything for them once he gets their vote is beyond me.

Maybe Trump IS a force for unity!

Calling it unity might be a stretch. But anyone who does something that has me in agreement with the scorching parson is some kind of special.

“I built a business, and I didn’t start it with a million-dollar check from my father.”

No, you didn't. Obama said so.

For once he nailed it on the head. Everything Obama has done has failed or is failing.

Unlike, say George W. Bush, who left this country in fine shape. Or George H.W. Bush for that matter.

In no reality does that make any sense whatsoever.

I see what you mean. Let's look at a couple of examples.

President Obama continued the hunt for Bin Laden. He obviously failed. No one has any idea where bin Laden is now.

Romney promised to have unemployment at 6% if we elected him. President Obama failed. He has carelessly allowed the unemployment rate to drop into the fives. I blame the President for allowing the economy to create hundreds of thousands of jobs per month.

And then there's violent crime. President Obama has utterly failed to keep violent criminals in action. Violent crime in the United States has dropped during his Administration.

Lord knows what the country will look like after four more years of such failures. Call me a masochist, but I plan to work hard to find out. --Bob
