At least 60 people are reported to have been killed after a truck ploughed into a crowd in an apparent attack in the French city of Nice.

A further 100 people have been injured, according to French television station BFM TV.

One eyewitness reported seeing the driver slam the lorry into revellers celebrating Bastille Day on the city's famous Promenade des Anglais.

He then emerged from the vehicle and started shooting, local resident Wassim Bouhlel told news agency AP.

"There was carnage on the road," he said. "Bodies everywhere."

Local newspaper Le Parisien is reporting that shots were exchanged with police.

"According to our information the driver of the lorry has been killed. A possible accomplice fled the scene," the newspaper said.

The White House has called this "a horrific terrorist attack." As we know, Obama is very careful with words like "terrorist."

And yet just this weekend in Warsaw, NATO declared Russia a bigger threat to European security than ISIS.

Russia, which has done nothing but endure ever-more times where the West breaks the promises made to it when the Cold War ended.

So NATO sends 4,000 troops to the Baltic (sorry- not send- "rotate"- since another one of those pesky promises- the one where we promised never to station troops further east than Germany- gets in the way).

4,000 troops- too small a number to either credibly attack nor defend against attack- but large enough to provide a geopolitical cattle prod to get a reaction from Russia so NATO can say "See? Russia's a MENACE!!"

I guess you don't need heavy weapons, tanks, battleships, and nukes to take out ISIS...so not enough profits to keep the NATO fat cats in the life of luxury to which they are used.

Who does he think did it? Where does he think they came from? How does he think they got into France?

What is his policy here regarding immigration?
