The Boney 500: Album #118

Today's album entry. I only own one Randy Newman cd, but I love it..I had Good Old Boys on vinyl, but to date haven't replaced it, although I do have a couple of tunes from it in my iPod..

118. LITTLE CRIMINALS-RANDY NEWMAN (1977)

Yeah, he's not exactly Caruso, but once you get used to it, the songs are great and the lyrics his usual
mix of goofy, sarcastic, wicked, and sometimes even tender. The controversial "Short People" is here (I STILL
don't understand how those who were offended by the lyrics just didn't get what he was REALLY talking about),
and the Eagles provide backing vocals on the tongue-in-cheek "Rider In The Rain"..they actually mix and match
on a good number of other tracks on the album.
