The Boney 500: Album #119

Today's album entry on the countdown..

119. TRUE COLOURS-SPLIT ENZ (1980)

From New Zealand came this album of near-perfect pop. Brothers Neil and Tim Finn fronted the group (Neil, and
later Tim, would go on to form Crowded House). "I Got You" is exquisite, and to this day I cry foul that it
never even made the Top 40, but there are a LOT more great tunes behind that one. Like its "shoulda been a hit"
single, the album deserved a lot more attention than it got. This is the version released in countries other than the U.S.
Here, the first two tracks were reversed so that "I Got You" opened the album instead of "Shark Attack".
