RIP John McMartin

Actor best known for his stage work, originating the male lead in Sweet Charity (which he also played in the film). He also made a number of TV guest appearances as well as a few films, most notably All the President's Men, as one of the Post editors, and Kinsey.

Age 86

I saw John McMartin in the original production of my favorite musical, Follies. He gave one of the finest performances I've ever seen in a musical.
