Shatner made a documentary several years ago ("The Captains" on Netflix) in which he interviewed all of them, including Pine.
It's very good in places, especially the sequences where Stewart says, No, this Star Trek thing is nothing to apologize for after having done Shakespeare and years of legitimate drama. It's what our whole careers led to. He gets Shatner to see he is worthy.
Shatner and Bakula get along great, also.
Avery has gone round the bend a bit (in the documentary) but in an adorable way. He answers questions with musical phrases on the piano.

Avery Brooks was a professor at the Mason Gross School of the Arts - Rutgers University, where I got my degree. He ran the Children's Theater group, I forget their name, that several of my friends were involved in. I never had any classes with him.

I'd be curious to know his thoughts about doing
