132. MAD DOGS AND ENGLISHMEN-JOE COCKER (1970)
Recorded (and filmed for what would be released as a movie) during a concert tour, Cocker kicks bigtime
butt throughout this 2-record set. "Cry Me A River" and "Feelin' Alright" are just blazing infernos, and
the trio of "Space Captain", "The Letter", and "Delta Lady" close the album out with a pretty powerful
punch. Leon Russell serves as Cocker's co-captain, and there's a nice lead vocal on "Superstar" (later a
hit by The Carpenters) by Rita Coolidge.
forgive me, but the intro plays twice at the beginning...it's the way the uploader put it up..I dint do it, I swear..
