The Boney 500: Songs 323-321
Posted: Fri Jun 10, 2016 10:13 am
Last 3 songs for the week. Back with more on Monday.
323. TRAVELLIN' BAND-CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL (1970)
Album: Cosmo's Factory
This sonic blast from John Fogerty and company is 2 minutes and 23 seconds of
audio adrenaline.
322. ROCK AND ROLL NEVER FORGETS-BOB SEGER (1976)
Album: Night Moves
You're never too old to rock and roll. That's because songs like this make you
feel young again.
321. PLEASE MR. POSTMAN-THE BEATLES (1963 in the UK, 1964 in the US)
Album: With The Beatles (UK), The Beatles' Second Album (US)
Big beat, handclaps, and harmonies, topped off by a great John Lennon vocal.
What's not to like?
Believe it or not, I can't seem to find a link for the original studio recording, so
here's a live version. It's not bad, but the guitars don't drop out during the part
"check it and see, one more time for me" like it does on the record. Dang, that's my
favorite part.
