Three more for today as we continue to count 'em down...
326. HIGHER GROUND-STEVIE WONDER (1973)
Album: Innervisions
What an incredibly funky groove Stevie lays down here. Yeah, just try and
keep your butt still with this one.
325. WANDERLUST-PAUL MCCARTNEY (1982)
Album: Tug Of War
Macca reunited with Beatles producer George Martin for the album this was on,
and it paid off handsomely. The songs were better than Paul's recent output in those days,
and the SOUND of the record was flat out beautiful. McCartney's gift for melody is on
full display on this track, especially in the point/counterpoint section late in the song.
324. YOU'RE ALL I'VE GOT TONIGHT-THE CARS (1978)
Album: The Cars
From one of the greatest debut albums ever. This one was so much fun to sing, and
I don't think I ever got sick of doing so in my time in a band. Cooks from start to finish.
