Today's trio of songs....
329. BRICK-BEN FOLDS FIVE (1997)
Album: Whatever And Ever Amen
Melancholy piano ballad. Nice use of the cello. Very pretty but very sad, as it should
be given its subject matter.
328. LOVE IS IN MOTION-STORIES (1973)
Album: About Us
The band, formed by ex-Left Banke leader Michael Browne with singer Ian
Lloyd, is mainly known for its Number One hit "Brother Louie". However, I discovered this
hidden little gem, a pretty little number, on that same album...and the album was in the
Bargain Bin for like, 99 cents, so win-win.
327. OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY-LED ZEPPELIN (1973)
Album: Houses Of The Holy
I was so proud of myself when I learned to play the opening acoustic segment on
guitar...well, a reasonable facsimile, anyway..Jimmy Page didn't exactly need to break
a sweat or anything. Perfect meshing of acoustic and electric here.
