Here we go again

Back to consulting. Went from getting fired from a shitty job to getting fired from a great one. I guess I'm meant for solo or team work, not management of others. They liked what I was doing in general, but in specific I wasn't managing the department well enough. So they, and I, will muddle through somehow.
I suppose there's some upside. I have a month of severance, not great but not bad for 1-1/2 years there. I'm still eligible for unemployment. I get to stay home more with BD and the HGSs. I can care more for the dog who just had ACL surgery and needs several weeks of rehab and PT. I and BD can work on cleaning the basement and getting rid of collections of junk and not-so-junk. I can finally start that blog on Quality. I can work on my anecdotal book about how to have a long and (mostly) happy marriage.
It has not been a great few months for my immediate or my extended family, and my neighbors for that matter. Lots of negative energy going on. I'm not going to challenge "Worse", but I'm ready for some pleasant news soon.
