There have been a wave of cancellations in the last couple of days, along with others announced earlier. Some of these shows may resurface on a different platform like Netflix or Hulu. Here is the latest:

I've watched Castle since it began (big fan of Nathan Fillion), but I didn't like the idea of season 9 without Beckett.

On Marvel's Agents of SHIELD this week, they showed a newspaper headline that said Agent Peggy Carter has died at age 95. That wasn't a consequence of the cancellation of Marvel's Agent Carter, which took place 70 years earlier, but it was fitting.

I'll keep watching Supergirl, and I hope CW can maintain the show's quality.

Well, Good Wife did its planned farewell (on a bummer, in my opinion), PoI being cancelled is by now old news, I'm bummed about Cyber but recent cast dropout, as well as half-baked plot resolutions, was prolly a warning, Bones isn't on list yet but stars-who-produce sueing re distribution doesn't bode well, & most of the new stuff looks like comedies even when billed as drama.

Same thing happened to Fame at its fifth season. The producers were seemingly turning every episode into a sitcom. The show made it to TV Heaven after the sixth season.

I didn't mean that Bones was going comedic (though its structure has comedic moments built in; not so much this season, with one main character now a verbally abusive depressed paraplegic); was talking about the new shows profiled in other thread as dramas.

From what I've read in producers' intention with the paralyzed character they planned development they'll never get to in current short batch of eps. Unless they jury-rig something. Or network/distributer caves on suit, & those folks never do.

That's too bad about Marvel's Agent Carter. I watched Galavant but I'm not sorry to see it go. I don't think I've ever watched the rest.

I'm very glad Supergirl still has a home. I'm really enjoying Calista Flockhart's role. In the last episode, her character turned down (via a phone call) a date with Harrison Ford because she doesn't date older men, "and anyway, isn't he married?" --Bob

I'm sorry that "Nashville" will not be back. A friend has been writing songs for them.

While I am glsd that it is still on, I am less than thrilled about it going to the CW. Our local cable system has the CBS shows in an "on demand" system, but not the CW ones.

Bones has already been renewed for next year's 12th and final season, at 12 episodes.

They knew that going into this spring's story arcs, is why they felt they could do what they've done with a major character. I still expect a dramatic turn in a late episode next season, given the inventiveness of the people involved.

Also cancelled by NBC, first year spring replacements Heartbeat and Game of Silence.

And I'd read that a short season of Bones was scheduled for next year, but that was before the lawsuit launched. Can still hope.

Read article that says season 12's "12 eps to end show" decision was made as lawsuit rolls on.

82% of the cost is simply labeled "Negative Costs" (the term irks me as an accountant as "negative" costs are actually revenue).

The article says the Negative Costs are comprised of production costs and an "administrative fee". Since this is such a large portion of the total costs, and the crux of the disagreement is likely centered around that "administrative fee", it should have been reported as a separate amount. Otherwise none of those numbers give the reader any idea of the validity of the suit.

The 12th and final season of Bones will proceed regardless of the lawsuit.

I believe the "negative costs" don't refer to money but to the costs of producing a "negative" (since almost everyone uses digital now the need to rename that). Then there are costs to duplicate the "negative".

This whole thing sounds like the way big corporations show a loss and thus avoid paying taxes year after year.
