All lifelines gone by question two. Even counting the shuffle format, that's gotta be a record?

This was excruciatingly painful to watch and I can't help but wonder how she could have passed the qualifying test.

Coming at it from the other angle, she did pass the qualifying test, so Lord knows what happened to her here. Whether it be nerves, being starstruck, or whatever it was, her mind was definitely somewhere else.

The $3000 question was much too hard for that level. Her choice, however, was ridiculous.

So far, so good.

I'm trying to remember (from having taken so many) if someone could take the test for you in their mass-auditions; I think its possible that you & a friend could both take tests & then switch them before they're graded. I know they take your info on your questionnaire, & you're assigned a # at some point, but I believe you write it yourself on your test sheet. I think. Its been a while. So some friend much more likely to pass but less likely to be picked could write your # on their sheet & you write yours on theirs.

What isn't possible is that they pick people they really like the look of out of the crowd before the test & just automatically declare them to have passed; the #-ing system makes it sufficiently random for that not to work, unless they really do give "special #s" to the people they automatically love.

It is, however, entirely possible that they pick a few spectacularly low scorers out & declare them passers, just to get them into the interview. If one of those turns out to be someone they loved from their looks, & love even more after the interview, it could work.

What bugs me is that I haven't yet seen on air this year a co-passer at my last test who did get to a video interview. She was a local-productions actress who had been on J!. She fit all their criteria for "feisty, interesting older woman". Well, they're not done with new eps for the year yet, I don't think?
