I suppose a melon baller could remove an apple core after the apple is cut open. I'd have answered corkscrew and gone down.

3K: I agree that Q has no good answer. Melon ballers do not have sharp edges needed for cutting apart apple. However, Q doesn't say "use this to cut fruit apart", just "use it to get pit/core out", so I'd have guessed melon baller.

A corkscrew might get the core out of an apple, but I can't see it getting the pit out of a plum. Definitely a tough one, especially for Question 4.

Because TPTB chose to present that as David's hook, I took an instant disliking to him, and so I wasn't unhappy when he because a llama. That may be unfair to David, who--for all I know--might be a serious fan of the show who wanted a serious trivia challenge.

But you live (and get cast on the show) by TPTB's whims and you die by TPTB's $3,000 WWOQ.
